When Nandey, my former classmate told me to do something about this..I told her it would be beyond my power; however what I can do is to correct my current group of students to pronounce the letter "H" correctly so that the flow will go on.
I can't blame the teachers involved in that particular school as most people that I tested on this simple pronunciation test, majority failed miserably (95%).
We were all taught to pronounce the wrong way.
What we can do is simple get yourself a pronouncing dictionary and learn the enunciation of each word we want to introduce to the students so that we don't repeat the mistakes that happened to us.
Try these few words: Wednesday, restaurant, medicine, three
"Heych" or "Eytch"

It is about time for me to start blogging again. I had been away for a year, not really away away but jut that I was putting my priority on something more demanding.
Before that, I would like to apologise to my last session classes for not including you here due to my absence from here (I know I'm forgiven :P).
You can share your creativity, thoughts, whatever talents hidden in you here in our blog.
For a start, I would like to share a poem written by one of the groups, H1E1.
King of My Heart
Father
At the moment I opened my eyes,
The moment I can see the world,
I saw his face, with deep cheeks,
Smooth little eyes.
Look at the smiling face, with deep breath
You received me into your life
with new life, and a new hope
to raise your little child.
You're the greatest man I've ever met,
You taught me how to walk and speak;
until I grew up and become a useful person,
You send me to school
to let me learn new things in life,
Then only I became a good person,
the best son of yours.
In the memories of you,
I never forget what we have done
Together we laugh,
Together we cry,
We're best friends
Sharing secret and sharing hobby.
I could not repay
Your kindness for always being there for me
When I need someone
to listen and understand
To lend me support
And a helping hand to reassure me
When I'm down
And lift me up around.
This poem simply comes
To tell you how lucky I am
To have a special person like you
Thanks for everything Dad....
Happy Father's Day!!

Use this technique to highlight the key words and phrases and relevent points using a highlighter pen.
You can also underline these important and relevent words, phrases and facts.
Words or phrases like 'for instances', and 'in other words' are not necessary when summarising.

Clean your eyes and clear your throat. Eventhough these aren't the real MUET yet, but marks would be taken for your PB weightage.
From the results, I make a few assumptions:
1. You need to listen to more English speaking radio programmes
2. Need to clean your ears
3. Speak more Manglish IF not English
4. Read the SPORTS section at least or TV Guide from the STAR per day...
5. Read something in English from anywhere whenever and wherever...
6. Sing some English songs that you like
7. Converse in English with your room mates at least a few sentences per day.
I can only suggest those to help you to improve your speaking and listening skills. The rest are up to your own initiative.
For God only help those who help themselves.
